Psalm of David
1 O Jehovah, our Lord, how excellent is your majestic name in all the earth! You have displayed your glory above the heavens.
2 From the mouths of little children and infants, you have built a fortress against your opponents to silence the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I look at your heavens, the creation of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have set in place,
4 what is man that you remember him or the son of man that you take care of him?
5 You made him a little lower than god-like ones GodSon of Godangels. You crowned him with glory and honor. (John 1:18)
6 You made him rule what your hands created. You have put everything under his control:
7 all the sheep and cattle, the wild animals,
8 the birds, the fish, whatever swims in the currents of the seas.
9 O Jehovah, our Lord, how excellent is your majestic magnificent name in all the earth!
